Australia has committed to efforts limiting
temperature increases to 1.5°C under the Paris
Agreement. A successful and timely energy
transition demands that our governments and
the electricity industry reengage with these
commitments.
Despite the challenges that lie ahead, there is still
time to meet Australia’s 1.5°C commitments. The
federal government’s policies have undoubtedly
moved us forward, but more is needed from all
stakeholders.
